PREFER NOT THE EOSInfo! :) Could this be a issure with the 1.1.1 Firmware? Now as canon says the life expectancy is 100,000 clicks, I'm not far away from it! Worse comes to worse I'll have to replay the shutter, right? īut my main question is that how come three different software gives three different reading and which one should I go with.
Strangely the image number is only IMG_1765 (the CF card that came with it, I've also formatted it in the camera) and keeps increasing by one every time I take a picture. I checked with the previous owner and said that it's impossible the count could be so high in just two years of usage and was shocked to hear the number! Also said that the routine sensor cleaning and service was done early this year and the Firmware was also updated to the latest 1.1.1 (see pic). The EOSInfo gives me 96531 (now that's hell of a lot!), but PS CS5 Image info gives me the aux:ImageNumber: 0 and Panda IEXIF2 wont even give me a number! I been trying to find out the shutter count of the EOS 40D (used of course) I bought a few days back and it's very confusing.
